"I had been living on South Beach for two years facing a dilemma that I'm sure others have dealt with─finding a gym to join that wasn't like the rest of the gyms in South Beach. For the most part, the gyms and health clubs were much like the South Beach nightlife scene, with too much emphasis on how you looked while you were working out and not enough focus on getting a good workout. Plus, I had let myself go for about two years, and I really wanted the benefit of an experienced licensed personal trainer to get me back on track. Proper Form fit the bill perfectly. My schedule takes me away from home for most of the week, so I started a Friday evening/Saturday afternoon routine. I have worked with trainers before, and my standards are pretty high. My trainer was able to assess my goals and put together a program that was just what I needed to get back on track. He is skillful at reading me, and knows when to mix it up a bit to keep my routine fresh and challenging. He completely understands the complications that my schedule places on keeping the course, but he works patiently with me to help ensure that my away time was used most effectively─on cardio or weights─so as not to lose ground. It's easy to use traveling as an excuse, but my trainer has helped me maintain some discipline even while on the road. The facility itself is state-of-the-art, spotless and convenient. At first I was surprised that there were not more free weights, but my trainer put together a routine that balances the machines and free weights. I have never left a session thinking that I got anything other than a superb workout. In addition, he was able to adjust the workout to reflect my level of energy (or mood!).  It's been a great experience. Overall, the trainers are experienced at all facets of fitness, so they can work with you on diet and nutrition as well as cardio and anaerobic exercise. Last but not least, my trainer ends every session by making me stretch, a discipline that most of us don't have and don't enjoy. Just another indication of Proper Form's comprehensive focus on physical fitness."
