We've Added Three New Programs in 2009
Our goal is to bring you the most current and effective
techniques to achieve ambitious fitness goals in the
safest manner possible. As a result, we have added three
new cutting-edge services to our menu of offerings.
______________________________________________________________________________
Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching
This new modality of training stretches and strengthens
the body dynamically while energizing the core and
training the whole body eccentrically & concentrically.
The revolutionary technique
utilizes a
person's own resistance in the strengthening and
elongating of muscles and
offers the following benefits:
-
offers immediate, cumulative, and permanent
increases in flexibility
-
takes the pain out of stretching
-
protects one from injuring themselves by
over-stretching
-
results in gains in both strength and aerobic
capacity
-
improves performance accuracy
-
creates more powerful, explosive, and core stable
movements
Ki-Hara sessions perfectly complement any fitness
program and are beneficial for clients at all levels of
ability. To learn more

Healthy Transitions for Women
Women
over the age of forty have choices that go beyond
hormone treatments, and Healthy Transitions for
Women will show you how to live a healthier and more
fulfilling life. Emphasizing proper nutrition and
exercise habits, every facet of the program has been
designed for women who are about to begin, or have
already started, the process of adjusting to the
changes in their bodies that typically occur at this
stage in their lives.
Exercise and menopause
Of course, the decision to take hormone
replacement therapy is a personal one, and
should only be made with the assistance of your
family doctor or gynecologist, who
understands your individual health status and
risks. However, the benefits of proper diet and
exercise should not be underestimated when it
comes to reducing the symptoms of menopause, and
these positive effects can be achieved whether
or not you elect hormone therapy.
The
Healthy Transitions for Women Program is
Administered by
Judith Pardo, M.D.
and
Mary Farley, IFPA-Women's Fitness Specialist,
and Includes:
1. Aerobic conditioning for heart health and
calorie burning
2. Strength training for muscles, bones and
metabolism
3. Stretching for flexible muscles and fluid
movement
4. Balance and stability for proper equilibrium
